“Improvement Within a Week”

I’ve joined Daniel and Kai for the Iceland workshop in Dec-21. My main goal was learning how to approach a scenery, find your leading lines and compose a photo. In addition, image editing was another goal. Daniel and Kai provided great support while being on-site as well as in the editing sessions. I could see an improvement within my work already during the workshop! Thanks Daniel & Kai.

“Out of the Comfort Zone”

I really enjoyed the workshop with Daniel and Isabella to Norway. During our stay, the weather was not optimal. However, they made sure we had the opportunity to try out locations and shooting styles that were out of my comfort zone.

I learned a lot from them and would definitely go on another workshop with them.

“Enjoyed the Whole Experience”

Had a great week with Daniel in the Lofoten Islands. The group I was with was great and we got on really well. We got to visit some of the most beautiful places in Scandinavia.

My photography skills definitely stepped up a gear and its amazing what a few tips on post-processing can do to improve your photographs. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Dolomites 2018

“An Enrichment at All Levels”

Totally unexpected and at the last minute I booked a photo tour to the Dolomites with Daniel. While both operators were completely unknown to me, it immediately clicked with Isabella and Daniel.

Because of my age (I was 59 at the time), I had some reservations about whether I could physically handle the trip in the mountains. That turned out to be no problem because they were aware of the terrain and effort that comes with it. We took a a break whenever necessary. The tour itself was a discovery of the beautiful locations and I've enjoyed it!

Isabella and Daniel helped, where appropriate, with advice on composition and technique. It was an enrichment at all levels. Getting to know a new area, a different vision of photographing the landscape, learning specifics about their method of photo editing, but most of all I made two new photo friends! Thank you Isabella and Daniel!

“Your own Learning Goals”

Daniel provides a very accessible, fun and educational forest photography workshop in Speulderbos in the Netherlands. Because of his relaxed and unhurried approach and with his enormous enthusiasm, he knows how to create an atmosphere in which - without you actually realizing it - you gain a lot of new insights. The woodland walk covers both the technical and the creative aspects of forest photography. The biggest plus, however, is that Daniel takes your personal learning goals into account as much as possible and does his utmost to pass on his knowledge and experience to you. An absolute must for anyone who wants to learn more about making amazing Woodscapes!

“Patience and Inspiration”

My goal is to learn, but I got more than that; far exceeding my expectations. I’ll be honest. I am inspired by their photos. That’s why I signed up for the workshop. But being with Kai and Daniel in the field was the true inspiring experience! They share their knowledge and skills patiently and professionally with an obvious love of and dedication to photography. The best part is that they helped me to be creative. The bonus part is the awesome and fun team we had. I had an unforgettable and great time with them!

Excellent Workshop guys! (Kai and Daniel) You both did a great job! Thank you both!

Why Join our Photography Workshops?

Personal

We only bring small groups and often two guides, maximizing one-on-one attention. Aside from that, we’re there for you, so if you have a particular wish, all you have to do is ask and we’ll do our best to make your trip as memorable to you as we can and the group accommodates.

Adventure, but Always Safe

We’re doing some crazy stuff. Standing in freezing water (but with boots). Hiking on ledges and scaling mountains (where and when it’s safe). Walking on frozen lakes (knowing that it has been below freezing the entire winter… Both our experience in the field and knowledge of the area will keep you from harm while coming to places outside of your comfort zone.

Fun

What is adventure if it isn’t fun, right? We’ll have a blast in these awesome places while getting to know each other better. It gives us the opportunity to relate, share our passion and get a better understanding what you are about in order to make your art more you.

Nature First

We are proud members of the Nature First movement, stating that we won’t tread where it is harmful for nature to do so. We instruct how valuable and precious our landscapes are, and that we are mere guests to mother nature. That means that on some occasion, we specifically will not take the image, even though the composition might be a little bit better over there if it means crossing a fence or a field of delicate plants or wildflowers.

Professional and Passionate Tuition

We work with passionate co-hosts who each have a unique vision and are truly dedicated to making you a better photographer. Kai Hornung, Inge Bovens, and Isabella Tabacchi, are our regulars.
